Rose City Pizza - Wing Contest: Results
A few weeks ago we were contacted by fb friend and food blogger Michael Walsh from Eating Around So Cal about a hot wing eating contest at Rose City Pizza in Rosemead. 10 contestants, signed waivers, and 8 insanely hot wings!
Those of you who know us understand that at All Spice Cafe it’s more about flavor than heat but these wings needed to be really hot. Our Ghost Pepper Sauce wasn’t hot enough and Brian Nittayo, owner of Rose City Pizza, insisted that we doctor the sauce to make the contestants suffer.
Making the sauce in the Rose City kitchen included All Spice Cafe Ghost Pepper Sauce, CaJohns El Chupacabra sauce (made with 5 different superhots) and some extra Ghost Pepper Flakes.
Congratulations to the winner: Kevin!!! We hope he is enjoying his prize of cool gear from Rose City Pizza, SGVforLife, and All Spice Cafe!

It’s that time of year again, we’re getting ready for our yearly pilgrimage to the Fiery Foods & BBQ Show in Albuquerque, New Mexico!

Exciting things at Whole Foods Market
There’s been some exciting things going on at Whole Foods Market for us recently and we just wanted to share a bit of what’s been going on.
First, Whole Foods in our area has just rolled out new LOCAL branding and you will see new signage and logos around the stores. You should see this bold branding around our products in the stores. We are now in 27 Whole Foods Markets in Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii!
Next, we are slowly getting our Fiery Sweet Candied Popcorn into stores and right now you can find it in Valencia, El Segundo, and Fort Apache. We are hoping to announce more locations real soon. Follow us on twitter for any breaking news.
Other exciting news we have is that our Chipotle Olive Tapenade is now available at the Fort Apache store in Las Vegas!
We are really happy about everything that is going on and we want to thank everyone for their support.

Comedian and late night talk show host has a heart of gold!
This week Lopez Tonight starts it’s second season, moving to midnight right after the new Conan, forming Team LoCo. Last week we had an opportunity to be in the studio audience for the last show of the first season of the Lopez Tonight show. After the show we were fortunate to see how generous George can be when it comes to helping people with kidney disease. Backstage, a young family told George about a relative in need of a kidney transplant. There was barely a dry eye in the house as George offered to help. Continue reading
We Spiced-Up Artisanal LA!
This past weekend we participated in the inaugural Artisanal LA in Downtown Los Angeles, at the Cooper Building. It was a collection of small artisan vendors, ranging from beekeepers to vodka producers, baked goodies to pasta sauces. Continue reading
Marina Elena’s Horchata Open House
The small artisan food industry is a great community and we (small start-up artisans) help each other out whenever we can. The guys at Maria Elena’s Authentic Latino Inc. are exactly like that. We really hit it off and ever since first meeting we have done several events together. Their Organic Horchata is a really nice compliment to our fiery products.
Jolokia Ghost Pepper Products a Huge Success
We just returned from the Fiery Foods & BBQ Show in Albuquerque, NM where we debuted our newest Gourmet Fiery Foods and they were a huge success.
All of the new Jolokia Ghost Pepper products (Jolokia Ghost Pepper Sauce, Adobo and Jerk Ghost Pepper Rubs, and the Fiery Caramel Popcorns) were so well received, we heard “that is incredible” and “those are awesome” all day long. Continue reading
